What is ECPaste?

How do I install ECPaste?

ECPaste is currently available for Chrome. You can install it from the Chrome Web Store. Simply click "Add to Chrome" and follow the prompts to complete installation.

Is ECPaste free to use?

Yes, ECPaste is completely free to use. If you find it valuable, you can support the developer by buying them a coffee through the "Buy Me Coffee" link.

How does the quick insert feature work?

To quickly insert a snippet, type ### followed by your snippet name in any text field. Then press Tab or Space, and the trigger text will automatically be replaced with your saved snippet content.

Is my data secure with ECPaste?

Yes, your snippets are stored securely. ECPaste uses your browser's sync storage, which encrypts your data during transmission. We never have access to your snippets. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Can I sync my snippets across multiple devices?

Yes, ECPaste automatically syncs your snippets across all devices where you're signed into the same browser account and have the extension installed.

Is there a limit to how many snippets I can save?

The number of snippets you can save is limited by your browser's sync storage quota, which is typically around 100KB. This should be enough for hundreds of text snippets, but may be less for very large code snippets.

Can I export or backup my snippets?

Yes, you can export your snippets from the settings page in the extension. This allows you to backup your data or transfer it to another browser.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Is ECPaste available for other browsers?
